ROUND TRIP FROM VENARIA ALMESE, COL DEL LYS, VIú, LANZO
Col del Lys is one of the places to go if you’re staying in Turin. It will give you a chance to get to know a bit of Lanzo valley and if you climb it from Almese as I did, you will admire the best when you go down towards Viú and Lanzo.
If we compare this climb to others it is pretty gentle, even though it is easier if you climb it in the other way around. You can choose! I really enjoyed this tour, including few of the cycle-path near Venaria. Reggia di Venaria is also the perfect starting point to have a chance to admire one of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy added to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 1997.
